For the suspension of rectangular ductwork with threaded rods
A sturdy construction allows a loadbearing capacity up to ≈ 1500 N.
The large contact surface prevents the duct from being deformed.
Easy installation.
Installation Instructions
Press the AL Support Bracket tight against the duct wall and drill through the 5 mm guide holes to suit rivets or self-tapping screws. The threaded rod can be positioned either before or after the fixing of the Support Bracket on the duct wall.
Sound Insulation
If sound isolation is required, we recommend the use of SI Isolation Hangers for loads up to ≈ 1500 N (*), or the use of DB Ceiling Brackets.
Load-bearing Capacity and Dimensions
The two AL Support Brackets have the same sizes and differ only in the diameter of the hole for the threaded rod:
Length 37 mm,
Width 50 mm,
Height 37 mm.
The load-bearing capacity always depends on the strength of the ductwork, since the duct wall will buckle before the bracket deforms. With a duct wall thickness of 1 mm for instance the AL Support Bracket loading capacity is ≈ 1500 N. The indicated maximum load-bearing capacity is in accordance with the European Norm EN 12236 and can therefore be used integrally. The breaking load is three times higher.
