METU Circular Flange UF: Sturdy (brings additional stability to the duct) circular flange designed to simplify the assembly of light-gauge round ducts, spirally wound ducts and fittings. The flange is made of a profiled sheet metal stripe which has been precisely bent to form a ring and fitted on both ends with a telescope-like friction-locked connecting piece. A sealant must be applied between the flange and the duct along the entire circumference in order to achieve the required air-tightness. Fastening into the duct is achieved through drilling-screws or blind rivets. The cone-shaped flanges are then connected together rapidly (only one nut must be tightened) thanks to a SR Joining Clip.
