METU Circular Flange BF: Sturdy (brings additional stability to the duct) circular flange designed to simplify the assembly of light-gauge round ducts, spirally wound ducts and fittings. The flange is made of a profiled sheet metal stripe which has been precisely bent to form a ring whose ends have been spot welded together. The flange is characterized by two sealing lips which also center the flange and secure it in place. Fastening into the duct is achieved through notches, drilling-screws or blind rivets. The cone-shaped flanges are then connected together rapidly (only one nut must be tightened) thanks to a SR Joining Clip.
