METU MU Overcollars: Economical connection for smaller duct diameters (71 to 315 mm) consisting of a stable, profiled sheet metal jacket, the ends of which are pulled together thanks to a solid lock and an Allen bolt. The connection can be easily dismantled. A continuous wide sealing insert (polyethylene foam PE, ceramic fibers KF, EPDM) reliably seals the connection. The upturned ends of the sheet metal jacket claw into the duct-wall and prevent the axial extraction of the pipes: equipotential bonding is that way achieved. Diameter differences up to 4 mm are bridged (i.e. connections between straight pipes and fittings).
