DIN 1946 / H6022

The METU access doors fulfill most of the criteria stipulated in the above-mentioned norms, but not all of them. Please find hereafter some relevant aspects. The information are not exhaustive and are provided without warranties.

To avoid injuries, sharp edges should be avoided

This requirement is fulfilled when access doors are ordered with the SKK gasket

Seals must be harmless to health

This is the case for most of our gaskets.

Seals must be smooth, abrasion-resistant, with closed pores, resistant to disinfectants and aging.

We recommend the silicone gaskets. Please read the characteristics of our silicon gaskets on our website to assess their suitability.

Minimum Tightness Requirements: Class C

The METU access doors outperform the class C and reach the class D

In the case of air ducts fitted with insulation, the design of the access door must not impair the protective effect of the insulation.

We invite you to visit our website where we present several insulated access door types (IRD and IRRD).

Seals must be inserted, clamped, foamed, but never glued to doors and filter mounting frames.

This requirement excludes self-adhesive gaskets such as our polyethylene and vitreous fiber gaskets. It also excludes the SKK gaskets which are glued around the opening of the access door. We therefore recommend the silicone gasket.

Conclusion
Not all requirements can be met, and the final choice is often a compromise. METU nevertheless offers the widest range of access doors in order to meet the larger number of possible requirements.
